We are inspired by the roots and traditions of Munich – in addition to our fascination of Bavarian cuisine and our own history. At the ‘Schwarzreiter Tagesbar & Restaurant’ we re-interpret Bavaria’s cuisine into what is being called Young Bavarian Cuisine. We distance ourselves from classic and heavy dishes like pork roast and ‘Hax’n’ and instead offer modern variations of beef tatar, ‘Kaiserschmarn’, ‘wedding soup’ and of course ‘Schwarzreiter’. The ‘Schwarzreiter’ is a fish and was one of king Ludwig II favourite dishes. King Ludwig II is our constant motivation in creating a place that effortlessly combines outstanding meals with distinguished wines and without loosing the typical Munich nonchalance.
