About us

The philosophy of the Schwarzreiter Restaurant and the Schwarzreiter Tagesbar is quite simple: a perfect interplay of down-to-earth liveliness, tradition, enjoyment and elegance. Chef Franz-Josef Unterlechner’s style combines precise craftsmanship with subtle full-bodiedness and aromatics.

By the way, did you know that Schwarzreiter fish was King Ludwig’s favourite dish? His father, King Maximilian II, had built the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Munich in 1858. The famous dish can be found on our menu, at times in a little modified version.
