External links

For information purposes, links to third party sites can be found on our websites. Unless this is obviously recognisable, we will make clear that this is an external link. The controller has no influence over the content and the design of the sites of other providers. The guarantees pro-vided in this data protection do not therefore apply to external providers.

Use of cookies

The controller uses so-called “cookies” in order to tailor the online experience and surfing time of the customer to individual requirements and to optimise these. A cookie is a text file which is either deposited in the main memory of the computer (“session cookie”) or saved on the hard drive (“permanent cookie”). For example, cookies contain information relating to previous access of the user to the corresponding server and information about which services have been used in the past. Cookies are not used in order to start programs or transfer viruses onto your computer. Rather the main purpose of cookies is to provide a service which is tailored specifi-cally to the customer and to make the use of the service as comfortable as possible.
The controller uses both session cookies and permanent cookies.

Session cookies

The controller mainly uses “session cookies” which are not saved on the hard drive of the cus-tomer and which are deleted when the browser is closed. Session cookies are used for login authentication and for load balancing (comparison of system load).

Permanent cookies

In addition, the controller uses “permanent cookies” in order to save the personal settings which a customer enters when using the services of the controller and to therefore make the service more personal and to improve it. By means of the permanent cookies, it is ensured that next time the customer visits the websites of the controller, he or she can find his or her per-sonal settings. In addition, the services providers which have been engaged by the controller in relation to the analysis of the user behaviour use permanent cookies in order to recognise repeat users. These services only save the data transferred by the cookie anonymously. No assignment to the IP address of the customer takes place.

Avoidance of cookies

At all times, the visitor has the option of rejecting the setting of cookies. As a rule, this takes place by selecting the corresponding option in the browser settings or by means of additional programs. More information can be found in the help function of the browser used by the cus-tomer. Should the customer decide to disable cookies, these can reduce the scope of use of the service and have a negative effect when using the services of the controller.

Use of analysis programs

The controller carries out an analysis concerning the behaviour of its customer when using its service or has this analysis carried out by a service provider. For this purpose, anonymous use profiles or use profiles in the form of a pseudonym are created. The creation of the use profiles takes place for the sole purpose of constantly improving the service of the controller.
Within the framework of the web analysis, the controller also uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc (“Google”) with the “anonymizeIp()“ extension. By means of this, the IP addresses are only processed in shortened form in order to exclude the possibility of tracing a person directly. The data gathering and saving which takes place in the course of Google Analytics can be objected to at any time with effect for the future.
For this purpose, please contactGoogle directly >>

Google requires its users, such as the controller, to use the following notification in its data protection declaration. By means of the text below, Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten GmbH is complying with this requirement:

“Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are saved on your computer and which enable an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information concerning your use of this website (including your IP address) which is generated by the cookie is transferred to a server of Google in the USA and saved there. Google will use this information in order to eval-uate your use of the website, to compile reports concerning the website activities for the website operators and to provide additional services connected to the use of the website and the use of the Internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties, should this be required by law or should third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will never com-bine your IP address with other data of Google. You can prevent the installation of the cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however we wish to inform you that in such a case, you may not be able to fully use all of the functions of this website. By using this website, you are declaring your agreement to the processing of the data relating to you which is gath-ered by Google in the described manner for the purpose stated above”.

Should the customer access a website of the controller which contains such a plugin, the browser of the customer establishes a direct connection to the servers of Facebook. The content of the plugin is transferred by Facebook directly to the browser of the customer and integrated by this into the website.
By means of the integration of the plugins, Facebook is informed that the customer has ac-cessed the relevant page of the Internet presence of the controller. Should the customer be logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit of the customer to his or her Facebook account. Should the customer interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “like” but-ton or placing a comment, the relevant information will be transferred directly to Facebook by the browser of the customer and saved there. The purpose and scope of the data gathering and further processing and use of the data by Facebook and the rights and setting options of the customer in this respect in order to protect his or her private sphere can be found in the data protection notices of Facebook. Should the customer not wish for Facebook to collect data as stated above, he or she must log out of Facebook before visiting the Internet presence of the controller.

The controller uses functions of the Twitter service on its website. These functions are provid-ed by Twitter Inc, 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the “re-tweet” function, the websites which you have visited are linked to your Twitter account and displayed to other users. During this process, data will also be transferred to Twitter.

We wish to point out that as the provider of these sites, we are not informed by Twitter of the content of the transferred data and its use. Further information in this respect can be found in the data protection declaration of Twitter at:

www.twitter.com/privacy

http://blog.instagram.com/post/36222022872/introducing-instagram-badges

Should you access a site of our web presence which contains such a plugin, your browser es-tablishes a direct connection to the servers of Instagram. The content of the plugin is trans-ferred by Instagram directly to the browser of the customer and integrated by this into the website. By means of this integration, Instagram is informed that your browser has accessed the corresponding site of our Internet presence, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not currently logged in to Instagram. This information (including your IP address) is transferred by your browser directly to a server of Instagram in the USA and saved there.
Should you be logged in to Instagram, Instagram can directly assign the visit to our website to your Instagram account. Should you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Instagram” button, this information is also transferred directly to a server of Instagram and saved there. The information is also published in your Internet account and displayed to your contacts.

The purpose and scope of the data gathering and the subsequent processing and use of the data by Instagram, as well as your rights and setting options in this respect for the protection of your private sphere can be found in the data protection notices of Instagram:

https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388/

Should you not wish for Instagram to directly assign the data gathered via our web presence to your Instagram account, you need to log out of Instagram before visiting our website. You can also fully prevent the loading of the Instagram plugins with add ons for your browser, for example with the “NoScript” script blocker (http://noscript.net/).

The controller uses functions of the provider YouTube on its website. Should you access our Internet presence which contains a YouTube plugin, a connection is established to the servers of YouTube. By means of this, information concerning which Internet sites you have visited is transferred to the YouTube server. Should you be logged in to YouTube as a member at this time, YouTube assigns this information to your personal user account. In case of use of the plugins, for example by clicking the start button of a video, this information is also assigned to your user account.

You can prevent this assignment by logging out of your YouTube user account and other user accounts of YouTube LLC and Google Inc and deleting the relevant cookies of the compa-nies.
